How it works

This template is in 2 parts: connecting the calendar and building the WhatsApp appointment bot.

A WhatsApp trigger is used to capture messages from customers, where non-text messages are filtered out.
The bot guides the customer through a simple workflow to collect their name, contact details, and preferred time slot.
The collected information is sent to a Google Calendar (or other calendar system) using an integration node, where availability is checked automatically.
If the slot is available, the appointment is created directly in the calendar and a confirmation message is sent back to the customer through WhatsApp.
If the slot is unavailable, the bot suggests alternative times and updates the appointment once the customer agrees.
Automated reminders can be sent before the appointment to reduce no-shows.
